Flic Unveils Brand New Flic App: Next Step for Smart Home Control

Flic, the Swedish innovator behind the world’s smartest wireless buttons, today announced the launch of a new Flic App, the first major redesign and overhaul of its app in more than a decade. The release coincides with the introduction of the highly anticipated Flic Duo, unlocking powerful new ways to interact with smart devices through gesture-based triggers.

With a brand-new design, endless bug fixes, and refreshed integrations - including a big update to the Sonos integration, the new Flic App sets the stage for a new era of faster updates, more integrations, and long-term support for all Flic products. Starting today, the new Flic App is available immediately as an update on both iOS and Android.

“The new Flic App is more than just a fresh coat of paint-it’s the foundation for everything we want to deliver in the coming years,”said Oskar Öberg, CTO at Flic. “We’ve reworked the app from the ground up to ensure rock-solid stability and to allow us to release new features and integrations at a pace we’ve never been able to before.”

What’s New in the Flic App

• All-New Design: A modernized user experience that makes smart home control more intuitive than ever.
• Flic Duo Support: Full compatibility with the new Flic Duo, introducing innovative gesture triggers for even richer control.
• Revamped Sonos Feature: Play any Sonos favorite directly, unlocking seamless music control with just a tap or gesture.
• Future-Proofed Overhaul: A complete rebuild under the hood, ensuring faster performance, improved stability, and rapid delivery of future updates.

A Decade of Commitment-and Beyond

Since its founding in 2013, Flic has been committed to creating smart home tools that are simple, reliable, and built to last. Impressively, the company continues to support its very first products, now over ten years old. With the new Flic App, Flic is doubling down on that promise of longevity while also accelerating innovation.

“Many companies in this space move fast and break things-we’ve always chosen to move fast and keep supporting things,” added Öberg. “The new Flic App is proof that we’re here for the long run. We’re levelling up, and this is just the beginning.”
