Designed for the human hand.
Shortcut Labs makes digital services more accessible and easy to use through physical controllers anyone can use and understand — technology that simplifies life and empowers everyone, not only the most technically curious.
What We Believe
Simplicity
Technology should be easy to use and easy to understand. We design for clarity at every layer — hardware, software, and API.
Sustainability
Innovation must coexist with the natural world. Sustainable practices are built into how we manufacture, ship, and support our products — not bolted on after the fact.
Accessibility
Everyone deserves the benefits of technology, regardless of ability, age, or location. A physical button works in places where a locked screen does not.
Creativity
We design our products with few limitations and offer open, transparent APIs — so individuals and businesses can build the things we never imagined ourselves.
From a KTH workshop to a million shipments.
Shortcut Labs AB began in 2013 as an incubator project at KTH Innovation, where we designed and shipped Flic — the world's first smart button. Our launch became one of the largest Nordic Indiegogo campaigns to date. In 2019 we redesigned the original button as Flic Button for sustainability and longevity, and have since expanded into hospitality, healthcare, and additional industries while integrating with the major smart home platforms.

In the Press
The best actually real stuff at CES 2025.
One of Sweden's most successful Indiegogo campaigns, it raised $800,000, eight times its goal.
Sometimes a good old button is just the best way to get something done.
Flic is the simplest to use and best performing of an ever-growing area in the smart home world: smart buttons.
One button to rule them all. Smart switch controls phones, lights, plays music and can even order you a pizza.
Simple interactions between man and machine.
